It is a replica of a number of original Saxon and Viking age finds and would have been worn after the conversion of the society to Christianity. Our pewter is handmade in Scotland and comes ready to wear with a length of black waxed cord.

Ravens were heavily used on Norse flags, banners and jewellery during the 9th through 11th centuries. They signified Odin's magical ravens, Huginn and Muninn.

Our stunning pendant is made of 99.9% lead-free English pewter which has been antiqued to bring out all of the details of both the raven and the runes which surround it on the circular band. The runes are the first runic inscriptions and consist of 24 letters known as Futhark. Measures 2" in diameter. Includes a 30" black leather thong with screw clasp and a small velveteen drawstring carry pouch.

This shield pendant is a reproduction of one from the Viking period that was found in York, England and is on display in the famous Jorvik Viking Center.
The runes on the shield-shaped pendant mean 'Good Health' and translate as 'Good Luck'. The pendant is supplied on a length of black waxed cord so you can wear it straight away. Our pewter cast and hand finished by Asgard in Scotland.

Our solid pewter Lunular pendant ("little moon") is a copy of an original from the Viking period that was found in Novgorod, Russia. This style of pendant is a common find in Russia and the Slavic regions but is lesser found in the West.

This pretty pendant depicts Freya (Old Norse for Lady), the goddess of love, marriage and childbirth. The pendant is a copy of an original that was found in Sweden and dated to the Viking period.

In recent years "Aegishjalmr", the Helm of Awe, has become an iconic symbol tied into the magic of runes. However, the earliest depiction of this symbol was in the 17th Century Icelandic grimoire, Galdrabok.

The term "Aegishjalmr" is mentioned in the Volsung Saga, but with no description or explanation of what it is. Today it is believed to protect the wearer from harm.
